Terms of service

Submit only reports relating to civic issues in your municipality. Do not impersonate others, submit knowingly false reports, upload illegal content, or attempt to interfere with the platform.

Citizens sign in with a phone number or email and a one-time code. You are responsible for safeguarding the device that receives the code. Staff accounts (crew members, managers, admins) are provisioned by your municipality.

You retain ownership of the photos and descriptions you submit. You grant your municipality and Geoxity a non-exclusive licence to use them solely to operate and improve the platform. Photos are auto-processed to blur faces and license plates before persistence.

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance is announced in advance via the platform.

My City helps coordinate civic services; the responsibility for fixing physical issues rests with your municipality and its contractors. Geoxity's aggregate liability is limited to the fees paid (if any) in the 12 months preceding any claim.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Toronto, Ontario.

We may update these terms; material changes are surfaced in-app and on this page. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
